In the framework of extending the Athens Metro from Sepolia to Peristeri, OBERMEYER undertook the general final tender design for the 'Agios Antonios' station in Peristeri, comprising architectural design, bearing structure design and technical equipment design.

The main design parameters of this challenging project were the introduction of natural light in the underground station and the neighbouring of the station with 20-storey buildings. The €15 million project is already completed and was in operation during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
