Attiko Metro S.A. (AM) is the owner of the project for the design and construction of lines 2 and 3 of the Athens Metro.

The excellent cooperation between OBERMEYER and AM started in 1997, when Obermeyer was awarded the feasibility study and the preliminary design of the 3km long line 2 to Peristeri (Thivon station).

This cooperation was continued in 1999 with the tender design of 'Agios Antonios' station in Peristeri. Finally, OBERMEYER provided the tender design of the line 3 extension from Monistaraki to Egaleo, with a total length of 3.5 km and 3 stations, involving mainly underground construction.

All of the above projects are currently at the construction stage, while the extension of line 3 to Peristeri is more advanced. The project up to the station of Agios Antonios is already completed and was in operation during the 2004 Athens Olympic Games.
