OBERMEYER, as part of a consortium of consulting engineering companies, provided the design of four valley bridges at the new road, for the section 'Rapsomati tunnel - Lefktro Megalopolis'. The design for the bridges, which are situated at road curves, includes pretensioned precast concrete beams and in situ casted reinforced deck slab. For the foundation, deep-drilled piles were selected, in order to minimise settlements and to achieve the safe load transfer. The total length of the bridges is about 600m and the construction budget about €10m.

Two bridges have already been constructed, whereas the remaining two, tendered since 2003, are expected to be delivered in 2005.
