OBERMEYER 'matured' when, at the end of the 1960's, the company designed and supervised the highly challenging project of the subway and suburban train passage below Karlsplatz Square, in the centre of Munich. Since then, OBERMEYER designed several dozens of kilometres of metropolitan rail, including around 10km of metro line in Athens.

Currently, OBERMEYER is involved in the project of connecting Munich airport to the central railway station of the city. The design makes use of state-of-the-art technology; the 37km distance shall be covered in 10', via magnetic levitation railway.
