The project aims in connecting of the industrial park Thisvi and Inofyta to the main high velocity railway line Athens - Thessaloniki.

An environmental impact assessment has been drawn up and it is now under approval. The significant project difficulties are related mainly to the fact that the route planning passes through densely built areas and to the complexity of the required connection to existing industrial complexes in Thiva (CABLEL), in Inofyta (ELVAL and HALCOR), the Corinthian Pipeworks and the existing railway stations.
